No one interacts with the ocean more than surfers — they see the damage every day. So what if we invited the world's best surfers to compete in a new event at Melbourne's URBNSURF wave pool. What they don't know, it's been filled with 36,000kg (one day's worth) of single-use plastic. Streamed live for the world to see, the headline writes itself.
